33.8% of Italian families do not have PCs or tablets at home and few have high digital skills

Interesting

survey conducted by ISTAT
In the period 2018-2019, addressed to
photographing digitization in the homes of Italians by examining the
possession or not of PC or tablet. A premise of our editorial staff that there
it seems right: more than in the past, many people they are enough
smartphone
, therefore whether or not having a PC or tablet does not mean
not at all having access to the internet and information in general.

In the period considered, the percentage of families without a PC or a
tablet settles at high altitude 33.8%, with even sensitive differences
analyzing the situation in the different Italian regions. In the South the
41.6% of households do not have a PC at home (compared to an average of around 30%
in other areas of the country) and only 14.1% have at least one computer available
for each component.

The 12.3% of children between 6 and 17 years old does not have a computer or tablet a
home
, a share that rises to almost 20% in the South (470 thousand
boys). Only 6.1% live in families where at least one computer is available
for each component. In 2019, among 14-17 year old teens who used it
internet in the last 3 months, 2 out of 3 have low or digital skills
basis
while less than 3 out of 10 (equal to about 700 thousand children) yes
attest on high levels. These are confirmations known for some time to
experts, because knowing how to use a smartphone does not mean having
digital skills.

level 2.

Does a hazy tinted photograph of Italy come out? Not necessarily. Like
having said that, there are many who make their smartphone enough, so it would be
inclement in confronting ourselves to draw hasty conclusions. Where there is
to work, a lot, inaverage increase in digital skills in one
age group so important.
