Acer Italy has long been engaged in the world of school education, thanks to a market share that reached 30% in 2019 in the K-12 sector. It is therefore natural for the company to structure some initiatives aimed at better supporting teachers in this phase in which the pandemic forces to stay at home, giving support to students through online lessons.

In recent weeks many schools have been experimenting with remote teaching, another resource for modern teaching, valuable for allowing pupils to follow lessons from home. To encourage the creation of a digital school, Acer is organizing, in collaboration with its partners, a series of webinars, so as to allow all interested institutions to take part online. In agreement with the Regional School Office for Tuscany and Microsoft Italy, a series of training activities were organized aimed at all school staff which includes the presentation of Microsoft Office 365 applications in support of Sway, Forms and Teams teaching.
Free for schools of all levels, Microsoft Teams offers the tools needed to create an online classroom where teachers and students can meet and share learning materials. There are still two sessions in which teachers can participate:
- Friday 3 April: 15.30-17.00 – Administration and security with Office365. The technical functionalities related to the security and management of the virtual school will be illustrated. Link to participate
- Monday 6 April: 15.30-17.00- Communication strategies and remote interaction with Teams. Link to participate
Google also offers the opportunity to hold and take distance lessons with Hangouts Meet and Google Classroom and to test with Google Forms and Quiz. Excellent tutorials are presented by Professor Giovanna Bicego, Digital Animator of the Istituto Comprensivo Parise in Arzignano. The first tutorial was published on Acer Italia's Facebook page; others will come in the next few days.
