AMD and Nvidia release new optimized drivers for Windows 10

Catalyst 15.8 Beta Driver

AMD’s latest driver is called Catalyst 15.8 Beta and will primarily provide higher performance and improved stability in Batman: Arkham Knight, but also deliver DX12-related optimizations for the controversial strategy game Ashes of the Singularity. Another major news is official support for the Oculus SDK 0.7 for the VR glasses Oculus Rift.

In addition, a number of corrections and bug fixes are added, including for titles such as The Witcher 3, Project Cars, Call Of Duty: Black Ops III, Watch Dogs and Sword Coast Legends. In addition, the noted issue that Windows 10 does not want to install drivers for Crossfire configurations should now be resolved.

Catalyst 15.8 Beta works with Windows 7, 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10 and can be downloaded from AMD’s website.

Geforce Drivers 355.82 WHQL

The new Geforce Drivers 355.82 WHQL “Game Ready” primarily adds optimizations for the latest Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Mad Max. It includes better performance with both stand-alone graphics cards and SLI configurations as well as associated settings in Geforce Experience.

Nvidia is also taking the opportunity to add new and updated SLI profiles for Batman: Arkham Knight, DMC 4 Special Edition, Rocket League and World of Tanks, where the latter will now also work better in Windows 10.

The new drivers work with Windows Vista and later versions of Microsoft’s operating system and are available for download on the Nvidia website.
