AMD prepares "Matisse Refresh" Ryzen 7 3750X and Ryzen 7 3850X processors

HD Tecnología

According to new information revealed on Twitter by user 9550pro, AMD is preparing to launch two “Matisse Refresh” processors under the names Ryzen 7 3750X and Ryzen 7 3850X.

As the name indicates, they would be a improved version of Matisse, which is the internal name of the Ryzen 3000 based on Zen 2. Unfortunately, 9550pro does not indicate what these improvements would be, leaving several possibilities open, although most likely it is simply an increase in frequencies.

Gigabyte had already talked about "Matisse Refresh"

Normally such a rumor would not be too credible, especially when AMD confirmed that we will see Zen 3 before the end of the year. However, the previous appearance of "Matisse Refresh" on uA gigabyte compatibility sheet gives strength to this rumor, since it confirms that AMD is indeed working on it.

Another interesting information that we see in this Gigabyte information is that more CPUs are mentioned after Vermeer (which will be the Ryzen 4000 based on Zen 3), and the A520 launch in August, information that was not clear until now.

If the 9550pro rumor is true, AMD would announce these CPUs on 6/16 and launch them on the market on 7/7, just a year after the release of the first version of Matisse.

What do you think about this rumor? What changes would you like to see in “Matisse Refresh”?
