AMD presents the Radeon RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition

During tonight’s E3 presentation, AMD lifted the lid on both the Ryzen 3000 processor series and the graphics cards in the AMD Radeon RX 5700 series, based on the new graphics architecture RDNA. However, the company had an ace left in the shirt sleeve when CEO Lisa Su unveiled the anniversary edition of the Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card.

As AMD celebrates 50 years as a company, they have previously launched anniversary editions of processors and graphics cards in the Ryzen 2000 series and the Radeon RX Vega-based graphics cards, respectively. Now that the Radeon RX 5700 series has been unveiled, its top card also gets the anniversary treatment, and the Radeon RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition gets both a more luxurious look with a gold-colored cover and increased clock frequencies.

The graphics processor takes the step up to 1,980 MHz boost speed, from 1,905 MHz in the standard Radeon RX 5700 XT version. The gaming frequency, which AMD now calls the Game Clock, picks up from 1,755 to 1,830 MHz. The base frequency rises from 1,605 to 1,680 MHz. In total, this gives an increase to 10.14 TFLOP / s, compared to 9.75 FTLOP / s for the standard edition of the Radeon RX 5700 XT.
