While Nvidia has launched five graphics cards in the RTX 3000 series with last week’s launch of Geforce RTX 3060, AMD has only launched three in its Radeon RX 6000 series so far, of which two are RX 6800 variants and RX 6900 XT. This afternoon, more precisely at 17:00 Swedish time, it is time for the company to unveil a new card in the upper middle class called the Radeon RX 6700 XT.
The card itself will be a spiritual successor to the Radeon RX 5700 XT updated with AMD’s latest graphics card architecture RDNA 2, but with a 192 bit wide memory bus and Infinity Cache. AMD is expected to announce the launch date this afternoon 17 mars March 18, according to leaked information to Wccftech, something that fits well into the winter cadence where the launch event is held two weeks before the start of sales.

In terms of price and performance, the Radeon RX 6700 XT on paper is expected to meet Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 3060 Ti, where the recommended price is expected to be either 449 or 499 USD, corresponding to approximately 4,500–5,000 kronor in Swedish trade. In the now ordinary order, on the other hand, reality seems to offer an extremely meager supply with prices soaring as a result.
Exactly how AMD positions the Radeon RX 6700 XT we will see at 17:00 today – follow AMD’s live broadcast at the top of this article or on the company’s event page.
