tl;dr: With the fastest Big Navi offshoot, the Radeon RX 6900 XT, AMD is switching to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090. Depending on the game, the calculation in the editorial team’s extensive test works – or it doesn’t. The comparison with identical TDP delivers interesting results.
Radeon RX 6900 XT versus RTX 3080 or 3090?
With GPUs based on the RDNA-2 architecture, AMD is launching a major attack on Nvidia’s entire line of graphics cards for the first time in seven years, from the entry-level model to the best high-end product. And not just in theory.

Price, availability and custom designs
AMD wants 999 euros for the Radeon flagship, 350 euros more than for the Radeon RX 6800 XT, but 500 euros less than for a GeForce RTX 3090. However, the price will most likely be just an air number for most customers. Also of the Radeon RX 6900 XT in the reference design there are likely to be very few models available in stores at the start at 3 p.m., of the Radeon RX 6800 (XT) after the first customer there were no more goods to be seen in stores.
