AMD announced the launch of new drivers that cover its most modern chipsets, specifically the AMD A320, B350, X370, B450, X470, B550, and X570 for AMD Ryzen 2000, 3000, and 5000 Series processors, and chipsets are not forgotten either AMD X399 and TRX40 for the Ryzen Threadripper.

These new drivers solve a couple of existing problems, in addition to integrating a new (updated) power plan for AMD Ryzen processors. When activating it on your Windows 10, it should exist improved performance and energy use of silicon, although the company did not detail these improvements.

Fixed issues

  • The installer may fail to start if run from a folder with a non-Latin name.
  • The installer may not update to an older version.
  • The installer may not install on Windows 10 with the Russian language pack installed.
  • The installer may not be able to be uninstalled from applications and functions with the Singapore Chinese language pack installed.

Known issues to resolve

  • A manual system reboot is required on a non-English operating system after installation.
  • The Windows Installer pop-up message may appear during installation.
  • An uninstall log may not be generated in silent mode.
