Anyone willing to fly a drone? Jetson One is a unique consumer eVTOL

The Swedish company Jetson Aero has already sold out the entire eVTOL Jetson One production series, which it planned for 2022. It is nothing more than a one-man drone that allows you to explore the area outside of public places and enjoy the wind in your hair … under your helmet. Not especially in blissful silence, but at least at a high speed of 102 km / h.

Playing with Jetson One is intended for the few

The Jetson One is far from the proudly and boldly announced eVTOL, which will be used as personal transport in cities in the future as “flying taxis”. However, there is nothing wrong with that, because it is a work intended solely for fun. They consist of a single seat in an aluminum and carbon fiber frame that surrounds four pairs of propellers coaxially mounted on the outriggers. They are put in motion by electric motors with a total peak power of 118 horsepower (88 kW), of which failure of one allows for further flight.

The whole weighs relatively little, 90 kilograms, for dimensions of 2845 x 2400 x 1030 mm, which is similar to a larger motorcycle. This body consists of as many as three redundant on-board computers, systems that detect and adequately respond to the environment, and even a foldable ballistic parachute in the event of a failure. Of course, there were also batteries, which, unfortunately, provide little time to play on a single charge, 15 minutes with an 85-kilogram remote control.

Unfortunately, the price of the Jetson One is enormous at $ 92,000, of which 12 units planned for 2022 have already been sold, and by 2023 the sale, requiring a $ 22,000 deposit, is almost finished.
