Earlier this year, Asrock launched a first edition of graphics cards, using only models based on AMD’s Polaris architecture. However, the models were initially only intended for the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America, but now German Tom’s Hardware reports that this will soon change.
From 1 July, Asrock will also start selling graphics cards in the EMEA region, which in addition to Europe includes the Middle East and Africa. It is still exclusively about graphics cards that consist of 2016 Polaris architecture from AMD with the flagship Radeon RX 580 at the forefront, which is accompanied by three variants of Radeon RX 570 where mainly clock frequencies and amount of memory differ the models.
The fact that Asrock now has the green light to release its Radeon graphics cards in Europe does not necessarily mean that some of the models will find their way onto Swedish store shelves. What remains is that distributors and finally Swedish retailers choose to bring in graphics cards.
It is also still unclear whether Asrock’s lineup based on AMD’s Radeon RX 500 series will be expanded in the form of the more modern architecture Vega, or if the company is waiting with a broader investment in AMD will release Navi.
