Asus Maximus VIII Extreme with the color scheme Plasma Copper

It’s an open secret that color and shape often outweigh grand specification tables even when enthusiasts choose computer components. The Taiwanese manufacturers are no strangers to eye-catching design and this also applies to Asus, which now presents the dark gray and copper-red color scheme Plasma Copper.

On the motherboard front, the Asus Maximus VIII Extreme and Assembly are added, where the latter also includes a hifi-rated headphone amplifier and a network card for 10 Gbps Ethernet. The newcomer is based on the Intel Z170 control circuit for the LGA 1151 socket and the Intel Skylake processor family.

In addition, there will also be a suitable graphics card. The Asus Geforce GTX 980 Ti Platinum is based on the GM200 graphics processor with 2816 CUDA cores and 6 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 384-bit memory bus. Even if the complete specifications are missing, high clock frequencies and advanced overclocking functions are promised.

Asus Maximus VIII Extreme / Assembly and Geforce GTX 980 Ti Platinum will be on store shelves before the turn of the year. Some price information is not yet known.
