During the previous week, Nvidia unveiled the mobile versions of the Geforce RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2070 Super, which were accompanied by variants in a more energy-efficient Max-Q version. A leaked product presentation from Asus now reveals the third model in the form of the Geforce RTX 2060 Super, reports Hardware Unboxed (via Techpowerup).
The Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super for Laptops matches its counterpart for desktops in terms of specifications. This means the same 2,176 CUDA cores, 136 texture units (TMU), 64 raster units (ROP) and 272 tensor cores and 34 RT units. The cards are equipped with 8 GB GDDR6 with the same clock frequency of 14,000 MHz, which connects over 256-bit memory interfaces.
The big differences from the stationary model lie in the clock frequencies that are lower in the mobile variant of the Geforce RTX 2060 Super. The base frequency operates at 1,305 MHz while the boost frequency rises to 1,485 MHz. For reference, the stationary equivalent operates at a base frequency of 1,470 MHz and boostfrequency of 1 650 MHz.

* Refers to the energy-efficient Max-Q variant of the circuit
The leaked product presentation does not mention energy-efficient models in Max-Q design, but since other portable family members have received such, the Geforce RTX 2060 Super is likely to get the same. With a smaller number of CUDA cores, tensor cores and RT units, the clock frequencies for the Max-Q variants, similar to the standard model, should be slightly higher than the Geforce RTX 2070 Super for laptops.
The product presentation does not reveal when Geforce RTX 2060 Super finds itself in laptops. As the product family’s other siblings take place in this spring’s gaming computers together with the Intel Core 10000 “Comet Lake-H”, a launch is probably not far away.
