According to Australian developer Rusty Russell, vulnerabilities were discovered in the code of several Lightning Network implementations that could lead to a loss of funds.

on Friday, saying that security issues that could result in a loss of funds were discovered in “various Lightning projects.”

Although Russell did not provide specific details, he said that additional information would be published in four weeks. In the meantime, the developer advised users to update the following Lightning nodes that were affected by the vulnerabilities:

  1. General Vulnerabilities and Risks (CVE) -2019-12998 in c-lightning up to version 0.7.1;
  2. CVE-2019-12999 in lnd to version 0.7;
  3. CVE-2019-13000 in eclair up to version 0.3 inclusive.

Recently, the Radar blockchain startup behind the development of a decentralized exchange on Ethereum launched
application store based on the Lightning Network. Previously, Lightning Network developers launched
