Bakkt raises an additional $ 300 million

The startup specialized in Bitcoin Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Bakkt, collected $ 300 million in a Series B financing round.

This new fundraising brought together several first-rate investors who were already supporting the start-up, namely M12 (Microsoft), PayU, Boston Consulting Group, Goldfinch Partners, CMT Digital and Pantera.

In September 2019, Bakkt finally launched its first futures contracts on Bitcoin physically settled, followed of options in December.

The New York-based firm also offers a conservation offer for digital assets since the fall. She is also working on a mobile app dedicated to crypto-payments with Starbucks as the first partner.

Last month, ICE, Bakkt’s parent company, acquired Bridge2 Solutions in order to strengthen the efforts of the startup.
