So he seeks refuge elsewhere, finding him in the arcades of his city, where he becomes one of the best players in Street Fighter II. But one day Haruo meets a challenger even better than him: she is his classmate Akira Oono. The girl is the opposite of him: beautiful, intelligent and wealthy.

In English Your lie in april, subtitled I met the girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms and my fate has begun to change (literally “I met the girl under the blossoming cherry blossoms and my destiny began to change”), April Lies is the story of a prodigy pianist named Kousei Arima, who from a very young age became one of the most acclaimed piano players in Japan. His life changes at the age of 11, when his mother – who has been ill for some time – dies.

The shock is such that it prevents Kousei from hearing the music when it plays. And so, as an enfant prodige, he returns to being a boy like the others, but with the ghost of his mother who continues to haunt him.

However, at the age of 14, fate knocks a second time. Kousei meets Kaori Miyazono, a violinist who loves classical music, just like him: it will be his salvation, and even something more.

Bugie d’aprile, taken from the homonym manga di Naoshi Arakawa, was available on Netflix Italy until June 30, 2021. It is currently still present in the US Netflix catalog under the title of Your lie in april.

It is the anime that combines Japanese culture with the epic of chivalry, typical of Western society. The Seven Deadly Sins, literally “the Seven Deadly Sins” tells the story of a mythical group of knights of medieval Britain, accused of having attempted the life of the king of Lionesse.

The Seven Deadly Sins, based on the manga of the same name by Nakaba Suzuki, is available on Netflix. Five seasons have been released to date, the last in 2021 entitled The Judgment of the Dragon.

4. Violet Evergarden

Violet she is a cynical, cold girl, without a family or a past. Precisely by virtue of her character she is selected to face a bloody war, during which she binds in a particular way to Major Gilbert. But fate wants that at the end of the conflict, after a surprise attack, the man loses his life and Violet her arms.

Urgently rushed to the hospital, the girl manages to survive, with doctors replacing her limbs with metal prostheses. Violet later receives support from the comandante Hodgins, a close friend of General Gilbert. The man introduces her to the Evergarden family, who from now on will take care of her, and offer her a job in his company.

However, the protagonist of the story is still uncomfortable outside the context of the war, not to mention the absence of Gilbert, her only point of reference. Helping her will be the discovery of a group of women called Self-Writing Doll, thanks to which he will be able to get to know his emotions for the first time.

Based on the manga of the same name by Tsugumi Oba, with illustrations by Takeshi Obata, it made its debut as an anime on the Japanese network Nippon Television in October 2006. It landed in Italy for the first time in 2008, when they were broadcast on MTV all 37 episodes of the series.
