HD Tecnología

Although we already knew about the existence of the Ryzen 7 4700G, now thanks to Biostar we know the complete family of Renoir “Ryzen 4000G” desktop APUs, since this company listed this whole new family of processors on its website.

This is the complete list of "Renoir" APUs:

Cores / ThreadsBase frequencyBoost frequencyTDPGPU Computing Units
Ryzen 7 4700G
Ryzen 7 PRO 4700G
Ryzen 7 4700GE
Ryzen 5 PRO 4400G
Ryzen 5 4400GE
Ryzen 3 PRO 4200G
Ryzen 3 4200GE

As we can see, there will be Ryzen 7, 5, and 3 APUs, with different CPU and GPU core configurations across the different lines. Most options will have a 65W TDP, although all will have GE alternatives with a 35W TDP for those who want more efficient chips.

Like the Renoir laptop versions, they will be based on Zen 2 on the CPU side, and a revamped version of Vega that incorporates some aspects of RDNA on the GPU side. They will be manufactured under the 7nm TSMC process that AMD has been using since last year.

According to rumors, they will be exclusive to pre-assembled computers, so there should be little hope of getting them for your custom PC. We will have to wait for the official announcement to confirm this information.

These new APUs are expected to be announced in June and hit the market in July.

What do you think about the specifications of Renoir APUs "Ryzen 4000G"?
