Bitcoin and Libra are most popular among Twitter users from the USA

A study conducted by The TIE’s cryptocurrency trading platform showed that the US is leading in the number of entries in the Twitter social network about bitcoin and the cryptocurrency Libra.

According to the results research, 38.9% of such Twitter posts were made in the USA, the UK was second with 10.5%. Canada, Turkey, India and Australia are also among the top 5 most active countries interested in Bitcoin.

Analysts have found that Bitcoin is most positive in Peru, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Italy. At the same time, the largest number of skeptical records – 62% – was recorded in Venezuela. It is followed by Mexico, Estonia, Brazil and Ireland by the number of negative messages.

Researchers note that 59.8% of Twitter posts about Bitcoin are positive. In the US, users are set up “extremely positively” in relation to Bitcoin – 61.5% of the messages were about the advantages of the first cryptocurrency.

The TIE also published a global sentiment map, which shows the general trends of positive and negative attitudes towards Bitcoin.

In addition, the company briefly examined the attitudes of users of the social network Twitter regarding the Libra cryptocurrency project being developed by Facebook.

According to the report, the United States also ranked first in the number of Libra records – 43.8%. As in the case of bitcoin, the UK ranked second, followed by France, Canada and Australia. At the same time, the records were initially positive, but currently 54.8% of the messages are skeptical.

“Records about Libra were the most positive in the United Kingdom, but much more negative in the United States and France – countries where regulators declared their alertness towards cryptocurrency,” the researchers said.
