ANPC borrowed the definition of cryptocurrency from FATF. This specifies that digital assets are digital representations of the value and / or of the unit of account and / or a deposit of value, but without having the status of legal currency in any jurisdiction. Cryptocurrencies can thus be used to make transfers, trade or for payment and investment purposes.

Note: Due to a delay, the summary was not published at 5:30 pm. During this time, the ANPC document was deleted. We will come back with information.

Despite IMF concerns, the Marshall Islands government has opted to continue the SOV project and plans to launch it within a maximum of 18 months.
