Brazilian bank BTG Pactual plans to spend $ 1 billion STO

BTG Pactual, the fifth largest bank in Brazil, plans to use the Tezos blockchain to offer tokens (STO), which can reach $ 1 billion.

To carry out STO, the largest investment bank in Brazil will work with Dalma Capital from the UAE. According to a press release, the deal will include a proposal for BTG Pactual ReitBZ (RBZ) tokens secured with local real estate assets.

“The use of Tezos blockchain and smart contracts will allow BTG Pactual and Dalma Capital to intensify their efforts to tokenize assets. The bank will continue to use Ethereum’s blockchain, but we also see the potential of Tezos and the power of this technology to tokenize assets, ”said BTG Pactual partner Andre Portilho, who is responsible for STO initiatives.

Tim Draper (Tim Draper), CEO and founder of Draper Associates, which owns Tezos shares, said he was pleased with the new partnership and use of Tezos blockchain companies. According to him, he sees this as a “good example of the use of tokens-shares.”
