As in the case of other manufacturers, Google did not add chargers to its new Pixels. Only a USB-C cable is included in the box. Meanwhile, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners have started to complain about the charging issue that occurs when they want to use an older or non-Google charger. This somewhat misses the goal of manufacturers removing chargers from their sets. After all, it was supposed to force us to use the equipment we already have at home.

When describing the problem, users also report that even if a third-party charger works, the charging process is very slow. Others say that they cannot even use any other cable than the one included in the kit. Yes, smartphone manufacturers use various technologies, but such restrictions seem to be too strict.

Is there a way around this problem? The first and most obvious – buying a new, original Google charging cube and using only the included USB-C cable. There is also another option that several users have reported. For some, charging worked when Developer Options was turned off, and for others, when Adaptive Charging was turned off. It seems quite strange, but it’s always worth a try.
