MOSCOW, 21 Sep — PRIME. Oil production in Colombia in July increased by 2.30% compared to the same period last year, to 748,096 barrels per day. Growth is observed for the 5th month in a row after several months of decline, the Ministry of Mining and Energy said on Tuesday.
Norway increased production of liquid hydrocarbons in August
In July 2021, Colombian oil production was 731,256 barrels per day. However, the average June production reached 752,294 barrels per day, up 0.56% from July production.
In 2021, the total average oil production in Colombia decreased by 5.7% compared to the previous year, to 736,356 barrels per day.
Colombia’s proven reserves are 2.039 million barrels of crude oil, enough for 7.6 years of consumption.

Deliveries of coal and gas from Russia to China set a historical record
The new government of President Gustavo Petro intends to initiate an energy transition to renewable and clean energy sources, reducing the country’s dependence on coal and oil.
Meanwhile, commercial gas production in July fell 0.17% year-over-year to 1,120.61 million cubic feet.
In June, commercial gas production was 1,102.57 million cubic feet, down 1.64% from July 2022 levels.
