Samsung has included three different methods that users can use to take a screenshot on the Galaxy F12. The first method, which is also the most popular, is the traditional way of pressing two hardware keys at the same time. The other two methods include Samsung’s software to make it even easier.
The first method to take a screenshot on your Galaxy F12 is to use the physical keys located on the side of the phone. This is the most used traditional method.
Pick up the phone, press the power button and volume down button at the same time. Do not release the keys until the screen flashes white. This indicates that a screenshot has been taken.
After the screen flashes white, a small menu bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. The menu will have three buttons.
The first button is for editing and cropping the image. The second button is for enabling Scroll Capture, while the third button is for sharing the image on social media.
2. How to take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy F12 with the palm of your hand
If for some reason the first method doesn’t work due to broken buttons or some other problem, take a screenshot on your Galaxy F12 using the “Swipe palm to capture” function. This is Samsung’s solution and does not require any hardware buttons.
To enable Palm Swipe, go to Settings -> Advanced Features -> Movements and Gestures. There will be an option called Palm swipe to take a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy F12. It is disabled by default. Tap it to enable. Now slide your hand across the screen to take a screenshot. The phone will vibrate to indicate that the task has been completed.
If you want something simpler, you can try the Assistant menu. This is a last resort if the buttons on your Galaxy F12 don’t work and nothing else works for you.
To enable the Assistant menu, go to Settings> Accessibility> Interaction and Dexterity and touch the Assistant menu. A small circle will appear. Tap the circle. A number of options will appear. Tap Screenshots. The screen will flash white, indicating that a screenshot has been taken.
