ConsenSys and WWF Launch Charity Platform

The blockchain startup ConsenSys, launched by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin and Joseph Lubin, launched the Impactio charity platform with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Impactio platform is based on the Ethereum blockchain and is designed to raise funds, manage them and finance non-governmental organizations and individual companies. The platform will also monitor how the funds are used and how effective the campaigns that spend the money on are spent.

In order to get on Impactio, companies or individuals must clearly describe their development goals and plans. The application must necessarily spell out such aspects as project sustainability, work with inequality and communities. After that, curators receive Impactio tokens in their digital wallet.

“It is necessary that the curators support their project with tokens. And if someone wants to challenge someone else’s project, then they must put the appropriate amount of tokens. If no one is against launching the project, then it will be approved and put up to raise funds, ”the creators of the platform note.

Among charity projects, cases of misuse of funds are quite frequent. According to Robby Greenfield, co-founder of the Impactio project, from 75% to 85% of charitable projects misuse the funds raised.
