CycleWing turns your bike into a sailboat. Or at least a bicycle with a sail ...

In such situations, it’s hard not to go so far as to say that some inventors should either give up on their great ideas or go on a long voyage. Dinghy. And one with a sail, like on a CycleWing bike.

I don’t know if it’s just an experiment or an attempt to make the founders a horse. The Kickstarter has just arrived CycleWing, which is (in short) a set that turns any bike into an air-powered car with a folding sail. Okay, maybe I’m a bit too skeptical about this idea, but the creation of two engineers just seems absurd.

Of course, it was not created to conquer highways or even city roads by bike, but rather for long routes through not very often frequented roads. The patent is simple – when a cyclist feels a “good wind”, that is, of course, blowing in the back, he has to jump off his two-wheeler, unfold the sail and (in theory) enjoy a less demanding ride. The CycleWing set also includes a screen indicating the angle of the sail and the engine battery level, as well as the engine itself connected to two buttons on the steering wheel, through which the cyclist can manipulate the sail while riding, catching the best wind.

To implement this idea on a global scale, the creators need $ 75,000, which they are looking for on Kickstarter. There was still a month to the end of the action, and after one day they managed to raise $ 1,200. Now comers can win CycleWing for $ 500.
