Did you stain your mousepad? We tell you how to clean it without damaging it

With more and more of us spending more and more time at our desks, it won't be long before we screw up our mousepads with pizza grease, juices, soda pop or some other mysterious stain.

So, here is a list of places where not You should put your mousepad, if you planned to remove it from your desktop to clean it:

• Outside for sun. It will fade!
• The dishwasher.
• The washing machine or the dryer. Foam and heat are bad for rubber and plastic.
• Microwave. Yes, some idiots have believed that it is a good idea.

The most recommended thing when cleaning a fabric mousepad is to use a stream of dish soap, warm water, a sponge or a washcloth and rub the stain. Then let it dry. If you use a plastic or hard surface mousepad, a wet towel should be enough.
