Description

Many motherboards have SATA controllers for RAID and AHCI technology. The latter represents a special mechanism required to connect various types of drives, including HDD and SSD. Most often, AHCI support is implemented on the south bridge of the motherboard.

The main purpose of Intel Rapid Storage Technology is to organize the stable operation of multiple RAID arrays from 2 or more HDD disks. 0, 1, 5 and 10 RAID levels are supported. The presented driver also provides AHCI and SSD caching support for new Intel chipsets. Plus, the developers add new features in every driver update, like unplugging the disk without rebooting or increasing the speed of the SSD.

Download the driver from the “Files” section and run the installer. At startup, a system check will occur. If you really have a motherboard with an Intel chipset, then the installation will continue. You just need to follow all further instructions.

Supports home motherboards with the following chipsets:
Intel 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Series, Intel 965 Express Chipset Family, Intel 975x Express Chipset Series, Intel 955x Express Chipset Series, and Intel 945 Express Chipset Family.

The following series of mobile motherboards are also supported:
Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family, Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family, Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, чипсеты Mobile Intel 5-ой и 6-ой серий.

Supported server chipsets include:
Intel C200 Series Chipsets, Intel 5000P Chipset, Intel 5000V Chipset, Intel 5000X Chipset, Intel E7230 Chipset.
