Energodar sees no obstacles for IAEA visit to Zaporozhye NPP

ENERGODAR, 1 sen — PRIME. There are no objective obstacles to the visit of the IAEA mission to the Zaporozhye NPP, the local authorities are waiting for the delegation, Alexander Volga, the head of Energodar administration, told reporters.

“We repulsed the attack, destroyed the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he said.

Answering the question whether the IAEA mission could be disrupted, he said: “Let’s hope that this does not happen.”

According to Volga, the Ukrainian side arranges provocations along the way of the mission.

“They continued the provocation precisely at the transition point, where the IAEA mission began to cross the zone in our direction,” he said.

The leadership of Energodar, Zaporizhia NPP, representatives of Rosatom want to discuss with the head of the IAEA Rafael Grossi the issues of safety, the functioning of the nuclear power plant, the head of the city administration added.

Volga stressed that Energodar hopes that the mission will objectively and impartially assess the situation at the nuclear power plant and around it.
