EU to understand damage from accidents at Nord Stream, Peskov said

MOSCOW, 13 Oct – PRIME. Europeans have yet to realize the damage to energy security caused by sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Channel One.

Miller said that the restoration of Nord Stream will take more than one year
According to him, the failure of almost all lines of the main was a serious blow to the potential of regional energy security.
“Europeans have yet to understand this,” Peskov stressed.
He noted that the possibility of compensating for the lost volumes of Russian gas at the expense of other suppliers largely depends on prices. “The question is whether the global infrastructure will be able to compensate for the falling volumes of Russian gas. And if so, at what prices … And will these prices allow the European economy to remain competitive,” the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.
A gas leak on the strings of the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 was discovered on September 26 in the Baltic Sea. According to Swedish seismologists, powerful underwater explosions were recorded in the emergency area the day before. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation initiated the initiation of a case on an act of international terrorism.
