Europe has pumped almost one hundred billion cubic meters of gas into its storage facilities

MOSCOW, 13 Oct – PRIME. The level of occupancy of underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in the European Union has reached 91.56%, which corresponds to 99 billion cubic meters, according to the Association of Gas Infrastructure Operators of Europe (Gas Infrastructure Europe, GIE).

EU to understand damage from accidents at Nord Stream, Peskov said
In countries with the largest gas storage capacities, their occupancy exceeds 90%: in Germany it is 94.97% (22.6 billion cubic meters), Italy – 93.27% (17.5 billion), France – 98.27% (12. 7 billion), the Netherlands – 93.27% (12.6 billion).
The total UGS capacity of the European Union is about 110 billion cubic meters. Analysts noted that in the autumn-winter period, the region, as a rule, consumes about 250 billion cubic meters, that is, current reserves can cover about 40% of demand. However, the materials of the European Commission reported that UGS facilities usually provide 25-30% of the gas consumed in Europe in winter.
