BERLIN, Sep 12 – PRIME. The IFO Institute for Economic Research predicts that the average inflation rate in Germany at the end of the current year will be 8.1%, and at the end of the next year it will grow to 9.3%, while the peak of inflation will occur in the first quarter of 2023, when its level will be about eleven%.

“Inflation will average 8.1% this year and rise to 9.3% next year. It is expected to peak in the first quarter of 2023 at about 11%,” the IFO forecast says.
At the same time, the experts of the institute expect that in 2024 the economy will gradually return to normal. “It is expected that the growth of economic production will amount to 1.8%, while the inflation rate will decrease to 2.5%,” IFO representatives believe.
