Facebook launched a program to find errors in the program code of the Libra project

Facebook announced the launch of a program to find errors in the program code of the cryptocurrency project Libra. Program participants will be able to earn up to $ 10,000 in reward.

“The size of the reward will directly depend on the level of the error found. In any case, this is a great opportunity for members of the Libra community and this is in line with community values, ”said Anchorage co-founder and member of the Libra Association, Diogo Monica.

This step is an extension of the program for finding errors in the Libra software, in which 50 external specialists are already taking part. To attract a wider audience to search for errors, the developers used the HackerOne platform.

“We hope that this approach will help to bring diverse experience to this initiative and raise the security standards of the Libra blockchain,” said Aanchal Gupta, security director for the Facebook-developed cryptocurrency wallet Calibra.

The head of communications at the Libra Association, Dante Disparte, said that the test network of the project is still under development and the vulnerabilities discovered now will significantly affect the final release.

“The Libra blockchain will not be launched until all the recommendations of the regulators are taken into account and all the necessary permissions are received,” he said.

Yesterday it became known that Facebook hired another lobbyist in an attempt to influence US lawmakers regarding the launch of the Libra cryptocurrency project.
