FidelityFX Super Resolution, AMD makes plugins available for Unreal Engine 4
AMD has published a plugin to allow developers to easily support upscaling technology FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) in popular titles Unreal Engine 4. On the GPUOpen website download available and a detailed explanation for use with the Epic Games engine and optimal integration. It is a development that I will give further push for the diffusion of technology, already supported in about forty titles and coming up in at least another twenty.

The best aspect of the FSR, compared to the DLSS, is that an agnostic technology, that is, it can run on both AMD GPUs (from RX 460 onwards) and Nvidia’s GPUs (from GTX 1000 onwards), and we are also talking about older products or AMD CPUs with integrated graphics.
There should also be no problems with future dedicated GPUs from Intel, although the company will propose its upscaling technology called XeSS, more similar to DLSS but still capable of running on competing graphics cards.
