Financial group GHP Group acquired blockchain project Vostok

GHP Group, led by Russian entrepreneur Mark Garber, has acquired the blockchain project Vostok, aimed at creating a base for certification, registration and tracking of data.

The information on the change of ownership was also confirmed by the founder of Vostok, Alexander Ivanov. He noted that he wants to focus on the development of his main project – the Waves platform.

Garber said that, thanks to the development of Vostok, the financial group will be able to reach a new level of development. According to the statement, personnel changes will not affect the acquired company.

“GHP Group sees the great potential of the Vostok project and the possibilities of its integration into current assets. The key to the success of the project will be the preservation of the Vostok development team, with which we will implement digitalization solutions in our mining, production and logistics projects, as well as in the projects of our partners, ”said Garber.

The blockchain solution Vostok was launched in the spring of 2018 and positioned as a tool to create a large-scale platform for implementing projects of large companies and government institutions. Garber was one of the first investors in Vostok.

Recall that last year Rostec announced the launch of the introduction of the blockchain platform Vostok to the state administration, and in December the platform raised $ 120 million in the first round of financing.

In addition, in February the National Center for Informatization (NCI) signed a cooperation agreement with the Vostok project. As part of the partnership, the NCI will be engaged in the implementation of Vostok products into information systems of corporate, state and municipal customers in Russia.
