Firefox keeps crashing frequently on Windows 11/10

Mozilla Firefox has the fourth largest count in terms of users. But like all other browsers, it also crashes sometimes due to errors, glitches, etc. Especially if you are using FireFox on Windows 11, you may experience some occasional crash issues here and there. I get this error message “Firefox had a problem and crashed. We will try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts” on your screen. Just follow these quick resolutions to resolve the issue in no time.

Solution 1 – Try the version of Firefox

Check if you have the latest version of Firefox installed on your system.

1. At the beginning, open Firefox.

2. Simply touch the three bars menu() and tap on “Settings“.

3. When Settings opens, on the left side, tap «General“.

4. After that, on the right side, scroll down and tap on «Search for updates“.

Now, Firefox will check and update the browser in no time. Just wait patiently.

5. Once you are done, you will be prompted to restart your browser once. Tap on “Restart to upgrade Firefox“.

Solution 2 – Clear Firefox Cache

If there are some corrupted files in Firefox, clearing Firefox cache should help you resolve this issue.

Paso 1

1. After opening Firefox, tap on the menu button () and touch “History>“.

2. After that, tap on the “Clear recent history“.

5. Now, Select these four folders.

6. Then click on the trash can icon at the top to delete these four folders.

Once you’re done, close File Explorer.

Solution 3 – Disable Firefox extensions and add-ons

There is a special troubleshooting mode that you can use to disable all third-party plugins and add-ons.

1. At the beginning, open Firefox.

2. Then tap on the three-bar menu (

) on the right side, and click «Help>“.

3. Here, tap on the “Troubleshooting mode…“.

4. You will see a message to restart the browser. Simply click on the «Restart” to restart the Firefox browser.

This will restart the browser in safe mode, or to be clear, it will disable all third-party plugins, add-ons, extensions, and themes.

Once Mozilla Firefox opens, open a few new tabs and check.

If this works, suppose there is a corrupted add-on/extension on your Mozilla Firefox. Follow these steps –

1. Abra Firefox.

Solution 4 – Disable hardware acceleration temporarily

Hardware acceleration can be another reason why you are facing this issue on your system.

1. Open Firefox on your system.

2. Then, catch this line in the address bar and press Get into.

3. Now, scroll down through the browser window and Mark off the “Use recommended performance settingss».

4. Make sure the “Use hardware acceleration when available” box is rampant.

Solution 5 – Set Tracking Protection to Standard

If you have set the tracker protection setting to Strict, some websites and even Firefox can be blocked.

1. Open Firefox, if it’s not already open.

2. Simply touch the three bars menu (

) and touch “Settings“.

3. On the left side, tap on «Privacy & Security“.

4. Now, change the setting to «Standard» fit.

5. Then tap on “Reload all tabs” to reload all tabs.

After that check if this works or not.

Solution 6 – Update Firefox

Updating Firefox will remove all bugs, glitches, etc. and give you a completely clean experience.

NOTE –

If you update Firefox, you will lose all installed plugins, themes, extensions, etc. that you have added in Firefox. But, all your personal information will remain unharmed.

1. At first, open Firefox on your system.

2. Then tap the menu button (

) and then click “Help>“.

3. Then tap on “More troubleshooting information“.

4. Now on the left side tap on «Update Firefox” to refresh the browser.

5. Also, touch «Update Firefox ” to complete the process.

This will update the browser to the default state.

6. Finally, tap on “End up” to complete the import process.

Firefox will open automatically. Try if this solves the problem.

Solution 7: Uninstall and reinstall Firefox

If nothing works, we recommend that you uninstall your existing Firefox and reinstall the latest version.
