Geforce GTX 1080 Ti is confirmed in system requirements

It has long been rumored that Nvidia is planning to launch a new graphics card in the GTX 1000 series. Like previous graphics card generations, it is believed to be an upgraded version of the top card Geforce GTX 1080, which was expected to be shown during this year’s CES trade fair, but this did not happen.

Now, however, the card has been confirmed with the launch of the strategy game Halo Wars 2. The confirmation does not come from Nvidia themselves, but the card is mentioned in the system requirements for the game title’s highest graphics mode, reports DSOGaming.

In terms of specifications, the details of the model vary, but the card is expected to be based on a scaled-down version of the GP102 circuit used in Titan X and get 12 GB of GDDR5 memory. In terms of price and performance, the card is believed to be somewhere between the Titan X and the current top card Geforce GTX 1080.

Nvidia itself has not confirmed the card’s existence, but the company is holding an event on February 28 where this is expected to be shown.
