Geforce GTX 670 is priced by Canadian dealers

For full-blooded enthusiasts with the highest demands on performance, there is the Radeon HD 7970 and Geforce GTX 680. However, the flagships cost a penny and many look at cheaper models, where AMD is so far alone in generation 28 nanometers. Now Nvidia is about to counter with more graphics cards in the Geforce GTX 600 series.

Now it publishes PC Canada prices and specifications for an upcoming Geforce GTX 670 from Gigabyte. The new graphics card has 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory bus and a GPU frequency of 980 MHz, judging by the model name an overclocked variant. The price is 415 Canadian dollars, corresponding to approximately 3,500 kronor including VAT

More details come from Videocardz.com, which seized the image and specifications for a variant from the manufacturer Leadtek. This is a slim graphics processor with 1,344 CUDA cores, compared to 1,536 computing units in the GTX 680, and again 2 GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory bus. This model is also said to be overclocked with a base frequency of 1,006 MHz and 1,058 MHz in Boost mode.

The Geforce GTX 670 launches on May 10. Already this weekend, another newcomer to the series premieres, namely the enthusiast model Geforce GTX 690 with dual graphics processors.
