German vice-chancellor spoke out against the embargo on Russian gas

MOSCOW, 10 Sep — PRIME. Economy Minister, German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck spoke out against the embargo on Russian gas, the newspaper Bild reported.

Germany will not return to dependence on Russian gas, said Habek
Khabek said that some of the states of South-Eastern Europe continue to import Russian energy resources, as they depend on them.
In his opinion, the issue of continuing energy supplies from Russia “should be decided by the countries that still receive gas from Russia.”
At the same time, the minister announced his intention to limit electricity prices for consumers in order to help them cope with the rise in electricity prices. However, he remains a supporter of the phasing out of German nuclear power plants, which, as Bild notes, irritates the Germans and threatens to accelerate the rise in electricity prices.
