Gigabyte confirms RTX 3070 Ti 16GB, RTX 3080 12GB and RX 6500 XT in EEC listing

After so many rumors, Gigabyte confirmed the existence of not only Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and RTX 3080 12GB, but also AMD’s new RX 6500 XT on a new EEC listing. This increases the rumors of their imminent announcement, since these listings are usually made when they are less than two weeks before their official presentation.

Regarding the Nvidia models, unfortunately only their names and their amount of VRAM are confirmed, although due to previous rumors and segmentation we do not believe that there will be too many changes beyond that. In the case of the RTX 3070 Ti it is most likely that its VRAM will simply be doubled and the same amount of Cuda Cores will be maintained, while in the case of the RTX 3080 in addition to the VRAM it will be required to increase its bus to 384 bits to be able to have the 12GB of VRAM. This increase in the memory bus will also lead to a 20% increase in bandwidth which will increase its performance, although possibly the same amount of Cuda Cores will be kept to maintain the segmentation compared to the RTX 3080 Ti.

On the side of the RX 6500 XT, the list confirms that it will have 4GB, increasing the rumors that it possibly has a bus of only 64 bits, having a very low bandwidth since it is oriented to the input range. It would have been interesting if at least 6GB of VRAM with a 96-bit bus were placed, although AMD chose the most basic configuration, possibly also to isolate it from the miners, since the hashrate depends strongly on the bandwidth of the memories, and the lower In other words, the lower the interest on the part of the miners, maintaining its low price, which will be its main strength.

The RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and RTX 3080 12GB are expected to be announced on December 17th, and the RX 6500 XT to be announced only at CES 2022 in early January, though considering they were added to this Gigabyte listing, perhaps less than expected.
