Gigabyte shows Proyecto Cielo, a conceptual design of a modular PC with 5G

Gigabyte officially revealed its new Modular PC called “Project Sky”, which “outlines the future of gaming” according to the vision of the company. At the moment it is only a conceptual design of a portable PC with support for 5G connections, although depending on the opinions of the public, perhaps we will be able to see it as a commercial product one day.

Today, AORUS proudly presents the concept of the next generation of PC gaming – Project Sky. Named after the infinite sky, Project Sky integrates 5G connectivity, a modular design, and unmatched portability, shaping the future of gaming.

As explained by the brand, this PC consists of three parts: The main system, a battery pack, and a Bluetooth speaker. Users can combine the parts they deem necessary and adapt the system to their needs, be it gaming, entertainment, or using mobile applications. Its main module also has a 5G antenna incorporated in its upper part, since according to Gigabyte “thanks to 5G, in the future all gamers will be able to enjoy immersive gameplay wherever, whenever” and the idea of ​​the brand is that it can be take anywhere to play no matter where we are.

As we mentioned previously, at the moment it is only a conceptual design that will not reach the market, although the company may have published it to evaluate the reaction of the public and analyze whether to design a marketable version in the future. It will be interesting to see if modular PCs really are the future as Gigabyte says, or if it is just another concept that we will never see for sale as it happened on many other occasions.
