Gigabyte, Waterforce treatment also for the RTX 4090: liquid cooled with a 360 mm radiator

Not only MSI with the SUPRIM LIQUID X, too Gigabyte is developing one GeForce RTX 4090 characterized by a system of hybrid coolingwhere in addition to a fan for cooling the components on the PCB we also find a liquid system designed primarily for the GPU and other critical chips.

The Aorus Xtreme Waterforce accompanied by an imposing 360 mm radiator, with three 120mm fans. Gigabyte had already proposed models with a hybrid heatsink in the past, but only with the RTX 3090 Ti had it switched to the 360 ​​mm radiator. Effectively, the heatsink doesn’t seem to change at allso much so as to also present a notch for the NVLink connector that NVIDIA has decided not to implement with the RTX 4000 generation.

On the other hand with a similar TGP of 450W, the RTX 4090 and RTX 3090 Ti are quite similar in terms of power and other components, so much so that even the GPUs should be “pin compatible”. At the moment, Gigabyte did not communicate the clock of this solutionlet alone when it is available.

The Aorus Xtreme Waterforce, by price, will be placed in the upper part of the RTX 4090 offer, thus positioning itself in the range around 2500 euros, if not further considered the starting price of the RTX 4090 equal to 1979 euros.
