Among the security measures, Google emphasizes the use of access codes of 10 characters in length and the inability to connect to a meeting before 15 minutes from its start. These choices greatly reduce the chance of being able to gain abusive access to a meeting through brute force.

Considering that Meet will also be used by schools to carry out distance learning, Google has further strengthened the security of the application, recently adding further functions. Only organizers will be able to remove or silence other attendees and accept requests to join the meeting.

Finally, Google reassures its users, specifying that the data relating to Meet are neither sold to third parties nor used for advertising purposes.
