Nexter decided to seek the help of Hellenic Defense Systems in order to meet the requirements of the Greek army for a weapon system for Philoctet. So we are talking about the new Greek infantry fighting vehicles.
Philoctet IFV for Greece
By joining forces with HDS, a state-owned company specializing in the design, development and production of various types of military equipment, Nexter wants to increase its chances of a contract, offering many benefits to Greek industry. The Filoktet IFV are based on the chassis of the VBCI Mk II wheeled transporter.

In general, they take the form of a 32-ton vehicle with an 8 × 8 drive based on a 600-horsepower engine and a modular structure. The latter allows the creation of various specialized versions, from the transporter to the self-propelled 120 mm mortar. In the title version of the infantry fighting vehicle, it was equipped with a T40 turret with a 40 mm autocannon with access to the Cased Telescoped Armament System (CTAS). Additionally, the turret is integrated with the MBDA MMP medium-range anti-tank guided missile launcher.
