Groovy Gorilla is the codename of Ubuntu 20.10

A few days after publishing Ubuntu 20.04 LTS "Focal Fossa", Canonical announced the start of development of Ubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla", which can be translated in many ways including "trendy gorilla" or "seductive gorilla".

According to the schedule, the development of the functionalities will be completed on August 27th, the changes to the user interface on September 17th and will enter beta phase on October 1st. Work on the kernel will be completed seven days later, in view of the official debut scheduled for 22 October.

At the moment there is no detail on the front of the features, but fans are looking forward to the transition to the kernel 5.8 and GNOME 3.38 – whose development will be completed on September 12th – and much more.
