Here is MSI’s first desktop with Intel Arc A380 video card

Evan Stengeraka The Malcore, posted on Twitter the image of a gaming desktop PC that appears to be MSI’s first proposal to host a video card Intel Arc A380. The details are not many, but MSI would have shared some of the results obtained with the card in the main ones e-Sport titles.

According to what can be seen from the images, this is a mid-range configuration that associates the aforementioned video card with a processor Intel Core i5-12400F. However, this is a pre-order product whose price is not specified, nor is the technical sheet detailed.

However, some interesting details would emerge precisely about the graphics processor. In the list of components, in fact, the VGA is indicated as “Arc A380 6G OC“, which confirms what emerged on the memory that will amount to 6GB GDDR6. The video card goes low on GPU ACM-G11 which integrates otto core Xe all active, so presumably in the desktop variant it will take advantage of a BUS a 96 bitrather than that a 64 bit used for mobile variantswhich are limited to 4GB of memory.

It is interesting to note, however, the wording OC, which suggests that it is not a reference variant, but probably one customized version (custom) from MSI itself. Furthermore, as anticipated, MSI advertises some results obtained in the game. Specifically, it is an average fps when running some titles like League of Legends o Overwatchwhere these vary between 85 and 200 with a resolution of 1080p.

The computer should be offered in different variants, including one that combines the Arc A380 to a processor Intel Core i7-12700KF and another more accessible that supports a processor alongside the VGA Intel Core i3-12100F. According to the selected CPU, the power supply module that will be proposed by will also change 550 or 650 W.

It was JD, a Chinese retailer. This would be in line with what Intel announced: the Arc video cards for desktop computers will be proposed at first only for the Chinese territory and will be distributed exclusively to OEM.
