Taking into account what has just been said, I would say that we can finally take action and find out, in practice, what needs to be done to not pay for shipping on Amazon. Find all the explanations right below.

How to avoid paying for shipping on Amazon with the minimum amount

To begin with, I intend to explain how not to pay for shipping on Amazon using the achievement of theminimum amount required to get free shipping.

So, first connect to the Amazon main page (or to launch the Amazon app for Android O iOS / iPadOS, if you prefer to act from mobile) and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account by pressing on the item Hi, Sign in. Once logged in, search for the items you wish to purchase, selecting the category of your interest (eg. Electronics, Home and kitchen, Books etc.) from the menu located at the top or from the one you can access by pressing the button All present on the left, then indicate the sub-category of your interest.

Alternatively, you can search by keyword, by typing the keyword of your interest in the appropriate bar at the top and pressing the button with the magnifying glass located on the right.

Afterwards, you will be shown the page containing the articles. If necessary, you can refine the display of the available products using the filters in the left sidebar, through which you can only view those falling within a specific price range, a specific brand, with exact characteristics, etc.

When you find an article that interests you, select it, then consult its description and read the reviews and gods delivery time estimated. If you really want to purchase it, select the options that may be available for the chosen product and add it to the cart by pressing the button Add to Cart. Repeat these steps for each item you intend to purchase.

Next, open the shopping cart and check that in correspondence with the item Provisional total an amount higher than that required by Amazon to obtain free shipping is reported. To confirm this, on the right you will find a box with a green check mark and the inscription FREE shipping available for your order.

Then complete the purchase by pressing the button Proceed to order, providing any details requested regarding the address and payment method and following the simple guided procedure proposed, as I explained to you in detail in my post on how to buy on Amazon.

How to avoid paying for shipping on Amazon with your first order

Regardless of the total amount of the items placed in the cart, the first order which is done on Amazon is always offered for free.

Let’s see, now, how not to pay for shipping on Amazon using Amazon prime. It’s very simple, don’t worry.

For starters, activate Amazon Prime on your account, if you haven’t already done so. To do this, select the item Prime placed in the top menu both on the site and in the Amazon app, press the button Sign up and use it for free for 30 days, then follow the wizard to activate the service that is proposed to you, following the instructions I gave you in my guide on how to sign up for Amazon Prime.

If, on the other hand, you had already activated Amazon Prime and you want to make sure that the subscription is actually still in progress, click on the item Ciao [tuo nome] that you find at the top right, then on the box Prime and then read the information shown on the new page displayed. On a smartphone you can do the same thing by going to the menu ☰> Prime.

After completing the above steps, all you have to do to take advantage of free shipping will be nothing more than search for what you want to buy and add the products to the cart as I explained to you in the previous step, access the Shopping cart and press the button Proceed to order.

Finally, make sure that the option is selected in the box where you are asked to review the items and shipping FREE Prime Delivery and finalize the purchase. Easy, right?
