What alternatives are there to remove a video from the IGTV platform?

Archive the video

Unfortunately we do not have the option to archive video for content created in the IGTV section. In any case, we can remove it from the profile, which allows to hide it from other users. This process is done from the Instagram application, and you can do it in the following way.

The first thing is to go to your profile and then go to the IGTV section. Once there, select the IGTV you want to hide from your profile and click on the three points located below. After the above, click on ‘Remove from profile grid’ and confirm the action by clicking on ‘Delete’. The video will be visible only from the IGTV application and only you will be able to see it.

How do you recover an IGTV deleted by accident?

Fortunately, it is possible to recover accidentally deleted videos on IGTV. In any case, keep in mind that you only have 30 days from the moment you delete the video to be able to recover it. After this time, the video will be completely erased.

If you are within the aforementioned period, try the following to recover the video. Open the ‘Instagram’ app and go to the ‘Settings’ section that you can access by clicking on your profile and then on the three lines that are located above and to the right.

Once you are in ‘Settings’, click on ‘Account’ and finally go down to the ‘Delete recently’ option. Here it will show all the content deleted before and the time remaining before total deletion. Check if the video you require is in the list and click on it.

Once in your video, click on the three points that are located below and to the left and click on ‘Restore’. Confirm your action by pressing ‘Restore’ again and the video will once again be on the list of IGTVs in your account.
