How to tell if your Bluetooth headphones are charged

If your cell phone system is Android 8.0 or lower, or your cell phone brand does not provide this indicator, then you must necessarily use an app called BatON, which offers this information on any device Android 4.3 or higher. This application will help you to see the battery of Bluetooth headphones or other devices, when you connect them to your Android mobile. You just have to view or tap its notification to see how much battery is left. Another option is to open the application and touch the desired Bluetooth device. If you think the value is incorrect, it is recommended to disconnect and reconnect the device to force a read.

Another important aspect of BatON is that it is configured to see the battery of your Bluetooth headphones every 3 hours. If you are making intensive use of your BT device and you want to be aware of the battery, you can go to the settings and change the information update every hour, 30 or 15 minutes (although this will consume more battery of your Android device).

BatON has a better reputation than the app Bluetooth Battery Meter, a popular alternative that is also used as a Bluetooth battery gauge or indicator. From my own experience I can say that BatON works quite well.

Important: For this app to be able to read or see the charge level of your headphones or Bluetooth device, they must have Bluetooth 4.0 LE technology or higher, or have the function of accepting and rejecting calls. Preferably it should be a device from a recognized brand. There are many generic or Chinese Bluetooth devices that, despite what their specifications or characteristics say, do not report the battery level and that is not the fault of Android, BatON or any other app. If that is your case, look for the device’s specifications and find its playback and standby time (media / talk time and standby time). You can enter this data in the APP Bluetooth Battery Watcher, so that she can do the math for you on the remaining battery.
