Hyperledger releases version 2.0 of its Fabric blockchain platform

The foundation Hyperledger just announced the arrival of the second stable release of its open-source distributed registers (DLT) platform Hyperledger Fabric.

Launched in 2016 with the support of the Linux foundation, Hyperledger Fabric quickly became one of DLT platforms most used in the world.

The solution is now used by large companies such as Google, Telephonica, IBM, Ali Baba, AWS or even large consortia of banks like we.trade.

In a press release, the Hyperledger foundation introduced the version 2.0 of its platform Fabric and presented its new features.

Hyperledger Fabric 2.0 offers new chaincode life cycle management, new chain code application models for collaboration and consensus, adjustable data confidentiality, a new external chaincode launcher and more generally better performance.

The release ofHyperledger Fabric 2.0 is an important step forward in the ongoing evolution of DLT, and was developed based on feedback from actual use, said Rob Palatnick, CEO of DTCC and chairman of the board of directors of Hyperledger

Jerry Cuomo, VP Blockchain Platform at IBM, said he was looking forward to updating the IBM blockchain platform in order to take advantage of the new capabilities of Fabric 2.0.

This summer, the foundation Hyperledger announced the arrival of its first public blockchain project with Hyperledger Besu.
