Intel Arc, maximum performance at the level of RTX 3070 and RX 6700 XT?

Intel Arc versus Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon from Q1 2022 with Alchemist

Intel Arc, maximum performance at the level of RTX 3070 and RX 6700 XT?

In base a una slide leaked on the net, the new video cards Intel Arc expected in the first quarter of 2022 could challenge the mid-high range of NVIDIA and AMD, reaching the maximum to offer the performance of the GeForce RTX 3070 e of the Radeon RX 6700 XT. Simply put, Intel – at least initially – would not be able to offer the same performance as the NVIDIA GA102 and AMD Navi 21 GPUs.

The “DG2 lineup”, as indicated in the slide, would be based around one GPU (called SOC1) with a TDP between 175W and 225W (depending on the models) capable of offering competitive performance with the GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti solutions, but also Radeon RX 6700XT and RX 6600 XT. Cards made by Intel should be in a price range between $ 300 and $ 499.

The second GPU (SOC2) would have a TDP of up to 75W and would have the GTX 1650 SUPER and proposals based on this chip would rank between 100 and 145 dollars, an area where both NVIDIA and AMD have not yet renewed the past offer.

The slide seems to confirm what leaker Greymon55 said on Twitter. Recall that Intel has spoken quite in depth about the Xe HPG architecture of these solutions renamed “Alchemist” that will come on sale under the Intel Arc brand.
