Intel Shows First Images of Arc Desktop GPUs, Release Winter 2022

The first Intel Arc GPUs are already in new laptops around the world. Initially, the brand’s debut came with mobile chips, which upset many PC gamers, as the company had promised a graphics card for desktop PCs by this time of year. According to Intel, desktop graphics cards will start arriving in the second quarter of this yearie from April. Still without revealing too much, Intel has presented, in video, a limited edition Intel Arc A-Series.

The video shows a model that does not present anything innovative in terms of design. Even so, from the 3D render it shows that it is something premium. This is not difficult to imagine, since we are talking about a limited edition. This model has a double fan and double slot and, in general, has a very sober and elegant design.

According to Intel, desktop graphics cards will start arriving in the second quarter of this year.

What is not clear, however, is whether this graphics card will be the reference model, or whether this model will be unique. In this sense, the video confuses more than it clarifies.

The presented Intel Arc graphics card has four video outputs, three DisplayPort and one HDMI. Because it is a video that does not say much, so we can see in the render the number of memory modules that it shows us, there is a possibility that this model has 16 GB of GDDR6 memory.

We may be looking at the high-end Intel Arc 7 with 32 Xe cores and a maximum ACM-G10 GPU configuration. The truth is that, for now, we are stuck in pure speculation, since nothing more than the aspect of the graphics card has been shown.

With the current situation in the market for graphics cards for desktop PCs, one of the biggest expectations is that Intel will present entry-level solutions that are on par with what AMD and NVIDIA have been presenting lately.

Let’s hope that Intel arrives to fight hard in the market, since a GPU that performs well in games with a reasonable value, is something that we have not seen for more than two years.
